Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Kathmandu – Gyirong
Sightseeing and Activities:

In the morning, picked up from your hotel by the tour guide and transferred to the border at Nepalese side. Enjoy the scenery along the way. Then arrive at Rashuwaghadi. Stay at local guesthouse in the Gyirong County for overnight.
Note: extra 300USD/car for private transfer; 30-50USD/per person for public jeep transfer.
Day 2 Gyirong – Tingri

Today met by the Tibetan tour guide at Gyirong border and then transferred to Old Tingri (4300m). Enjoy the scenery along the way such as border line, snow-capped mountain and evergreen forest. We will also pass Tongla Pass (5100m) where we can appreciate the epic mountain vista of Himalayan range.
Day 3 Tingri – Shigatse
Sightseeing and Activities: Sakya Monastery

Today we will move on to Shigatse via Sakya and visit Sakya Monastery – a Buddhist monastery founded in 1073 by Khon Konchok Gyelpo. What’s more, we can have a view of Mountain Everest in a distance.
Day 4 Shigatse – Lhasa
Sightseeing and Activities: Tashilunpo Monastery, Gyantse
Accommodation: Lhasa

In the morning, head to visit the home of Panchan Lama – Tashilunpo Monastery and see the well preserved largest statue of Jampa (future god) in the world. Founded in 1447 by the 1st Dalai Lama, it is a historic and culturally important monastery. In summer, we can also visit traditional Barley Mill and view the landscape of Barley Field.
After the visit, drive about 90km to Gyantse, the home to the Pelkor Monastery, Gyantse Kumbum, and Gyangtse Fortress.
Continue driving to Lhasa. At Manak Dam Lake, we can hang pray flag at Simila Mountain Pass. Then pass the Korola Glacier and enjoy it on the roadside. Next drive over the Gampala pass and have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso – one of the three largest sacred lakes in Tibet and have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar in the distance, the highest mountain near Lhasa.
Day 5 Lhasa
Sightseeing and Activities: Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, Barkhor Street

After breakfast at hotel, the Lhasa tour begins with the must-see attraction – Potala Palace, the largest monastery of its type in the world and official home to Dalai Lama.
In the afternoon, move on to Jokhang Monastery and walk along the Barkhor Street nearby. Enjoy the local Tibetan culture here.
Day 6 Lhasa
Sightseeing and Activities: Drepung monastery, Sera Monastery

After breakfast at hotel, drive to visit Drepung Monastery – one of the three great monasteries in Tibet. Visit the biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.
In the afternoon, move on to another one of the “great three” Gelug university monasteries of Tibet – Sera Monastery. Visit Monks debate, Tibetan religious scripture printing house, three sand Mandalas and colorful Rock Painting of Buddha.
Day 7 Lhasa – Xian

Upon Xian arrival, a local tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 9 Xian
Sightseeing and Activities: Terracotta Warriors, the City Wall

Today we will head to the world famous Terracotta Warriors. The Terracotta Army is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China.
In the afternoon, visit the City Wall. Visitors can rent a bicycle(paid by yourself) and take a ride on the wall.
Day 10 Xian – Beijingh

Today we will take the bullet train to Beijing. Upon arrival, a local tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 11 Beijing
Sightseeing and Activities: Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tomb

Get up early to visit Badaling Great Wall. Great Wall is one of the greatest architecture projects in human history. Then visit Ming Tomb, where 13 emperors and their wives of the Ming Dynasty were buried. See the appearance of Bird’s Nest on the way to your hotel at a distance.
Day 12 Beijing
Sightseeing and Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven

Breakfast at hotel, start today’s tour with Tiananmen Square. Go north through the square and you will reach the Forbidden City. As the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden structure in the world, it has more than 8,000 pavilions and thousands of historic treasures. Then enjoy the lunch.
In the afternoon, head to visit the Summer Palace , which used to be the summer resort for royal families and emperors. The last stop is the royal altar of the Ming and Qing dynasties – the Temple of Heaven.
