The Memorial Hall to the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre was built by local Municipal Government in 1985, covering an area of 28,000 square meters. It is a museum to memorialize those that were killed in the Nanjing Massacre by the Imperial Japanese Army in and around the then-capital of China, Nanjing, after it fell on December 13, 1937. It is located in the southwestern corner of Nanjing known as Jiangdongmen, near a site where thousands of bodies were buried, called a “pit of ten thousand corpses”.

    Take metro line 2 and get off at Yunjin Road. Leave from exit 2 and walk westwards to get there.

    Taking taxi is very easy in Nanjing, but you have to speak a little Chinese or hold a paper with the exact address of the location you want to go. The taxi charges 9 RMB for the first 3 kilometers, and then 3 RMB for each extra kilometer.
