Jiuzhaigou Transportation By Air

Jiuzhaigou transportation by air mainly introduces the brief information of airport in Jiuzhaigou, as well as airport transportation and domestic flights. There is only one airport serving Jiuzhaigou, namely Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport, located in the town of Chuanzhusi, Songpan County, which is about 90 kilometers from Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area and 59km from Huanglong Scenic Spot. 

Jiuzhaigou Flights

Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport is located next to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot in the county, with flights to and from Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi’an, Shanghai and other places. It is the most convenient way to fly to Chengdu or Chongqing first, and then transfer to Jiuzhaigou airport, which will take about 40 minutes to fly between Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou. During the peak season, it has opened direct flights to Xian, Kunming, Zhangjiajie, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai. Please Note: Due to the earthquake on August 8, 2017, direct flights to many cities have been cancelled. At present, Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport has only two routes to Chengdu and Chongqing.

Airport Transportation

After arriving at Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport by plane, tourists have to transfer to Jiuzhaigou scenic spot. At the same time, the Jiuhuang Airport can also provide shuttle bus to Huanglong, Munigou, Hongyuan Waqie Township, Ruoergai Flower Lake, Jiuqu Yellow River First Bay and Chuanzhusi, etc. Details are as follows:

It is very convenient to take taxi from the airport to the Jiuzhaigou, costing about 200-300RMB.
