Yili River Bridge is the first modern bridge in Yili, built in 1975. The bridge is located on the Ili River, 5km south of Yining City. Under the bridge, the water is fast flowing and the trees are dense along the river. The north bank of the bridge is Yining City, and the 10km south bank of the bridge is the county seat of Chabuchar Xibo Autonomous County. The bridge type of Yili River Bridge is a reinforced concrete double-curved arch bridge. The lower part is a reinforced concrete high pile cap, and a steel plate icebreaker is specially arranged to prevent the impact of huge ice blocks on the bridge when ice melts in spring. The whole bridge has nine holes and overlooks the nine arches and nine giant eating plates. It supports the straight bridge deck and flies across the natural moat. It is extremely magnificent. The bridge deck is 8.5m wide, 300.84m long, 30m in diameter span, with a design load of 15 tons for cars and 60 tons for towing. Sidewalks are provided on both sides of the bridge deck and patterned cement railings are repaired. Ili River Bridge is an important passage connecting Yining City with Chabuchar Xibo Autonomous County and Dulata Port. Both counties and cities have opened riverside parks and cruise ships near the bridge. The total investment in building the bridge is 2.7 million yuan. The completion of the Ili River Bridge has laid the foundation for the economic development of the two places. The bridge is in use and well preserved.
