Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport

 Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, referred to as "Xinzheng Airport" for short, is located in Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, China. It is a grade 4F international civil airport, the core component of China's first national airport- Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone, an international air cargo hub airport and one of China's eight major regional hub airports. As of December 2018, Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport owns 55 passenger airlines, 208 passenger routes and 116 navigable cities for passengers. There are domestic flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Sanya, Hangzhou and other places, as well as international flights to Hong Kong, Macao, Taipei, London, Phuket Island, Seoul, Tokyo, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and other places.

Airport Transportation

The transportation between Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport and downtown area is convenient. Travellers can take the airport bus, city bus, metro and taxi from the airport to Zhengzhou city center.   • Zhengzhou Railway Station
    Zhengzhou Railway Station is an important part of Zhengzhou Railway Hub, and it is also a comprehensive transportation hub integrating high-speed railway, inter-city railway, multiple unit train and normal train. Zhengzhou Railway Station is the intersection of the two main trunk railways of Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Longhai Railway. Located in the center of Zhengzhou, the station is divided into East Square and West Square, with subways, intercity railways and long-distance bus service.

    Metro: The subway station of Zhengzhou metro line 1 is located in the west square of Zhengzhou railway station. It takes half an hour to get to Zhengzhou east railway station by subway.
  • Zhengzhou East Railway Station
    Zhengzhou East Railway Station is one of the largest railway hub stations in mainland China and an important part of Zhengzhou Railway Hub. Zhengzhou East Railway Station is the intermediate station between Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and Xuzhou-Lanzhou High-speed Railway. It is also the departure station of Zhengzhou-Kaifeng Intercity Railway and Zhengzhou-Xinzheng Airport Intercity Railway. As of May 2019, Zhengzhou East Railway Station has 2 metro lines passing through, namely, Zhengzhou Metro Line 1 and Zhengzhou Metro Line 5.

    Xinzheng Airport railway station, located in the GTC transfer center of terminal T2 of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, is an inter-city high-speed railway station on the Zhengzhou-Xinzheng Airport inter-city railway. After Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, GTC is the second comprehensive transfer center in China that integrates various modes of transportation such as inter-city railway, airport, subway, taxi, bus and private car. The station is a supporting public facility for Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport and is also an integral part of the comprehensive hub center of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. Forms of public transportation in the main urban areas of Zhengzhou include metro, city bus, taxi and intercity train. 

By Metro

Zhengzhou metro is the urban rail transit system of Zhengzhou city, covering Zhengzhou city, Xuchang city and Kaifeng city. Metro construction is divided into three stages, starting, developing and maturing. Its first line was put into trial operation on December 28, 2013, making Zhengzhou the 16th city in mainland China to open subways. As of September 2019, there are 5 operating metro lines, namely, Zhengzhou metro line 1, Zhengzhou metro line 2 (phase I), Zhengzhou metro line 5, Zhengzhou metro line 9 (Zhengzhou metro suburban line) and Zhengzhou metro line 14 (phase I). As of September 2019, there are 7 metro lines under construction, namely, line 2 phase II, line 3 phase I, line 4, line 6, line 10 and suburban line phase II.

Note: You can go to Zhengzhou Railway Station and Zhengzhou East Railway Station by Zhengzhou Metro Line 1. You can also transfer to Metro Line 5 at Zhengzhou East Railway Station. Taking Zhengzhou Metro Line 9, that is, Zhengzhou Metro suburban line, can reach Xinzheng Airport.

By City Bus

Zhengzhou bus refers to the urban road public transportation system serving Zhengzhou city. Its first bus line was opened in 1954. Zhengzhou city has four types of public bus, including inter-city public bus, city bus, metropolitan area public bus and tourist bus, reaching all parts of the city. Inter-city bus lines have been opened from Zhengzhou to Kaifeng, Jiaozuo, Xuchang and Xinxiang. By the end of 2018, Zhengzhou bus has 6373 vehicles of various types. There are 333 bus lines, with a length of 4,758 kilometers. Zhengzhou public transportation supports the use of mobile phone QR codes, whether it is WeChat, Alipay or UnionPay cloud flash payment. In addition, you can also buy a Zhengzhou public transportation card to take the bus.

By Taxi

There are a large number of taxis in Zhengzhou. The main color of the taxi logo is light green. The pricing method of Zhengzhou taxis is unified as the starting price of 8 yuan within 2 kilometers and 1.5 yuan per kilometer after over 2 kilometers. Starting price after 22:00 p.m. is 10 yuan. Taxi drivers generally have payment codes for Alipay and WeChat. Passengers can simply scan the codes by Wechat or Alipay to pay.

By Inter-city Train

Xinzheng Airport railway station, which is located in Xinzheng Airport's comprehensive transfer center, has now opened trains to Zhengzhou Railway Station, Zhengzhou East Railway Station, Kaifeng, Jiaozuo and other places. Intercity train fare is cheaper, and it takes less time, so it is popular among travelers. You need to buy train tickets in advance.
