Zhongshan Park in Foshan

Zhongshan Park (佛山中山公园), located on the northeastern side of Zhumiao Street (祖庙街道) in Chancheng District (禅城区), Foshan (佛山市), is a comprehensive park integrating exhibitions, publicity, science popularization, entertainment, dining, and recreation. The park, built in 1930, was established in honor of Dr. Sun Yat-sen (孙中山).

Covering an area of 32 hectares, the park includes nine main areas: the South Gate Square Area (南门广场区), Historical and Cultural Area (历史文化区), Senior Activity Area (老年活动区), Lawn Area (草坪区), Lake Area (湖区), Children’s Playground Area (儿童游乐区), Animal Viewing Area (动物观赏区), and Leisure Rest Area (观赏休憩区). Development History

Zhongshan Park was first built in 1930 to commemorate Dr. Sun Yat-sen (孙中山). Initially covering only 0.5 hectares, the park has expanded significantly over time. It now spans 32 hectares, with 10.8 hectares of water and 21.2 hectares of green space, creating a lush garden landscape highlighted by expansive water features and rich greenery. The park includes various areas that blend traditional and modern landscaping techniques, designed to captivate visitors with its diverse features.
