Xining Transportation – By Train mainly introduces the latest trains from and to Xining including high speed trains and normal speed trains, and the information of the major railway stations in Xining.

Xining is where the Lanzhou-Xining Railway and Qinghai-Tibet Railway meet. Most trains heading for Lhasa will take a stop in Xining.  Xining Railway Station is the only railway station in Xining. It has been completely put into operation after being renovated. Xining West Railway Station has ceased operation.

Railway Station in Xining

Located on the Huzhu Road, next to Xining Long-distance Bus Station, Xining Railway Station is a first-class passenger & freight station as well as a marshalling station. The New Xining Railway Station is a large traffic hub project which covers railway, urban rail transit, city municipal road network, long-distance passenger transportation and urban public transportation.  Xining Railway Station is the only railway station in Xining. It has been completely put into operation after being renovated. Xining West Railway Station has ceased operation. At present, there are D, Z, T and K direct trains from Xining to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Lhasa, Urumqi, Lanzhou, Dunhuang, Zhangye, Golmud, Chengdu, Kunming and other places. In addition, there are trains to cities within Qinghai Province including Datong, Qaidam and Chaka.
