Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Xiamen – Mt. Wuyi
Sightseeing and Activities:
Accommodation: Mt. Wuyi
Meals:
Upon your arrival, met by tour guide and explore this city if time allows. Then take the evening flight to Wuyi mountain and check in hotel for overnight.
Day 2 Mt. Wuyi
Sightseeing and Activities: Jiuqu Stream rafting, Wuyi Palace, ancient Song Street, Tianyou Peak
Accommodation: Mt. Wuyi
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Full day to explore the Mt. Wuyi. Take a bamboo raft floating down the Jiuqu (Nine twists) Stream and then visit Wuyi Palace and ancient Song Street. Built in the Tianbao years (742-755), Wuyi Palace is the oldest Taoist palace in the Wuyi Mountains. The 300 meter long ancient Song Street represents the life and culture dating back to 800 years.
Then climb up the Tianyou Peak (Heavenly Tour Peak) to have a bird view of the mountain scenic area.
Day 3 Mt. Wuyi – Fuzhou
Sightseeing and Activities: Dahongpao Scenic Area, Xiamei Ancient Village

Morning after breakfast, visit the Dahongpao Scenic Area (Big Red Robe Scenic Area) to see the plantation of the famous Wuyi Rock Tea – Dahongpao tea trees. After that, continue the tour to Xiamei Ancient Village, one part of the Wuyi World culture heritage. It is a quiet place with Well-preserved ancient buildings featuring delicate carvings, also the starting point of Ancient Tea Road.
After the tour, take the train to Fuzhou and check in hotel.
Day 4 Fuzhou – Putian – Quanzhou
Sightseeing and Activities: Minjiang Park, Fuzhou Panda World, Sanfang-qixiang, Mazu Temple Complex

In the morning, head to visit Minjiang Park and Fuzhou Panda World. Minjiang Park is the largest open leisure park of Fuzhou, which comprises the southern park and the northern park divided by the river. Fuzhou Panda World is the only one with scientific research, science education and tourism in the southeast coastal area of China. After that, move on to Sanfang-qixiang. Literally Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, it is celebrated as an architectural museum of Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings.
Then drive about 1.5 hours to Putian and visit Mazu Temple Complex on Meizhou Island. Built in 987, it is the ancestral temple of more than 3,000 mazu temples in the world today. After the visit, continue driving to Quanzhou.
Day 5 Quanzhou – Xiamen
Sightseeing and Activities: Kaiyuan Temple, East & West Pagoda, the Maritime and Archaeological Museum, Qingjing Mosque

Today we will explore Quanzhou city. Visit Kaiyuan Temple and nearby East & West Pagoda first. Kaiyuan Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian province with an area of 78,000 square metres. Inside Kaiyuan Temple, there stood the east pagoda and the west pagoda, which rank the highest pair among Chinas stone pagodas.
Then visit Qingjing Mosque, which is the oldest Arab style mosque in Quanzhou which has a long history of over one thousand years.
In the afternoon, move on to visit Maritime and Archaeological Museum.
After the tour, drive to Xiamen for overnight.
Day 6 Xiamen
Sightseeing and Activities: Dadi Tulou Cluster
Accommodation: Xiamen

Today drive about 2 hours to Dadi village in Huaan County. Upon arrival, head to visit Dadi Tulou Cluster. It consists of three major historic sites: Eryi Lou, Nanyang Lou and Dongyanglou. Eryi Lou, the biggest round Tulou in China, is a combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles, which boasts 952 murals.
After the tour, drive back to Xiamen.
Day 7 Xiamen
Sightseeing and Activities: Gulangyu, Hi Heaven, Shuzhuang Garden, Piano Museum, South Putuo Temple
Accommodation: Xiamen

In the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from hotel and then transfer you to the ferry. Take a 7-minute boat trip to Gulangyu Island and start today’s tour. Gulangyu Island is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site included in 2017, renowned for its beaches, winding lanes and varied architecture.
On the island, we will visit Hi Heaven to enjoy the South Music performance and Puppet Show, which is the largest old villa on the island. Then move on to Shuzhuang Garden and Piano Museum. Gulangyu hosts China’s only piano museum and was given the nickname of “Piano Island” or “The Island of Music”. Then transferred back to Xiamen.
After lunch, head to visit South Putuo Temple, a famous Buddhist temple founded in the Tang Dynasty. It is so named because it is south of the Buddhist holy site Mount Putuo in Zhejiang Province.
Day 8 Xiamen Departure
