Why is Chashan Zhuhai National Forest Park so Special?
The total area is 9979.00 hectares. The Forest Park is located in a humid climate zone in the middle subtropical zone with an annual average temperature of 14 degrees Celsius. The vegetation type is evergreen broad-leaved forest in the middle subtropical zone. The forest coverage rate of the scenic spot reaches 97%, and it is also a national AAAA scenic spot. In December 2003, it was approved as a national forest park by the former State Forestry Administration.
Geographical environment
Chongqing Chashan Zhuhai National Forest Park is located in the ji shan Mountains. The front mountain of ji shan is high and the back mountain is low. It is undulating. The mountain is narrow, thin and high above sea level. The highest peak is Bo Dao Ling, with an altitude of 1025 meters, which is the highest peak in western Chongqing.
Climate characteristics
Chongqing Chashan Zhuhai National Forest Park has a humid mid-subtropical climate with abundant rainfall and high humidity. The average annual temperature is about 15 degrees Celsius. Sheng Xia Zhishi is about 6~10℃ lower than “stove” Chongqing city, with obvious microclimate characteristics. The atmospheric environment in the park reaches the national grade I standard, with a negative oxygen ion content of 30,000 to 50,000 per cubic centimeter. It is an ideal natural oxygen bar.

Plant resources
Chongqing Chashan Zhuhai National Forest Park has 34,000 mu of forest resources and 98,000 cubic meters of standing trees. The main rare species in the park are Alsophila spinulosa, Ginkgo biloba, Phoebe zhennan, Taxus chinensis, Metasequoia, etc.
Animal resources
There are many kinds of wild animal resources in Chongqing Chashan Zhuhai National Forest Park. The protected animals include macaque, black bear, yellow-throated marten, big civet cat, small civet cat, otter, golden cat, etc.
Main attraction
Bodao Peak
Bodao Peak is the highest peak in ji shan and also the highest peak in western Chongqing. Its main peak is 1025 meters above sea level, and its sub-peak is 1016 meters above sea level. The peak is high and steep, winding and steep. You can see three rivers with the same jade belt.
Ambush on Ten Sides
The location of “Ambush on Ten Sides” is located in the bamboo sea in Fan Bay. The bamboo sea covers an area of 7,000 mu and has an altitude of 500-800 meters. It is named after its unique topography, wide bay and deep ditch, like a large fan that is spread open.

In 2012, a total of over 1.5 billion yuan was invested in various infrastructure projects. The park has more than 400,000 square meters of tourism services and infrastructure buildings, 43 farmhouse resorts and holiday resorts, 1 four-star hotel and 1 five-star standard holiday villa hotel.
How to get there
- Bus routes: There are buses to Yongchuan at Chen Jiaping, Caiyuanba and Longtousi bus stations in Chongqing’s main city. Take bus 125 or 105 at Yongchuan Passenger Transport Center and Team 25 bus terminal and get off at Technician College Station. You can reach the Chashan Zhuhai Tourist Transfer Center. After buying tickets, you will be transported to Zhuhai by the scenic free bus.
- Self-driving route: Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway is located in the main city of Chongqing, and the scenic spot can be reached by a sign along the next rear edge of Yongchuan junction.
Honors received
In October 2016, Chashan Zhuhai Scenic Area won the honorary title of “Chongqing Civilized Tourism Scenic Area”.
