Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Xiamen Arrival

Sightseeing and Activities: the scenic Island Ring Road, South Buddhist Temple

Upon your arrival, met by tour guide and explore the scenic Island Ring Road and South Buddhist Temple. South Buddhist Temple is the most famous temple here. After the tour, transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Xiamen – Anxi – Xiamen

Sightseeing and Activities: Xiping Village, Tieguanyin Cultural Garden and Weiyin Tea Factory, China Tea Capital
Accommodation: Xiamen

In the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Xiamen and drive about 1.5 hours to Anxi. Anxi is well known for a number of varieties of Oolong tea, the best-known of which is Tieguanyin. Anxi Tieguanyin is classified as one of the Top 10 Chinese Tea.

Upon arrival, we will head to visit Xiping Village, the home of the original Tieguanyin bush. Then continue the tour to Tieguanyin Cultural Garden and Weiyin Tea Factory to know more about the history and production methods of Tieguanyin.

In the afternoon, move on to China Tea Capital, which is the largest wholesale market of Tieguanyin in China, showcasing Anxi County’s famous tieguanyin tea.

After the tour, transfer back to Xiamen.

Day 3 Xiamen – Huaan – Xiamen

Sightseeing and Activities: Eryilou, tea garden, local Tea Wholesale Market

Today we will drive about 2 hours to Dadi village in Huaan County. Dadi Tulou Cluster, consists of three major historic sites: Eryi Lou, Nanyang Lou and Dongyanglou. Eryi Lou, the biggest round Tulou in China, is a combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles, which boasts 952 murals.

After the visit, move on to the tea garden nearby and also visit the local Tea Wholesale Market in Anxi. Anxi is the second largest Tieguanyin producing area in China. Then transferred back to Xiamen after the tour.

Day 4 Xiamen – Zhangzhou – Xiamen

Sightseeing and Activities: Tenfu Tea Museum

Today we will also drive about 2 hours to Zhangzhou. Then visit Tenfu Tea Museum, constructed in 2000, and finished in 2002, which is the world’s largest tea museum with a total area of 13 acres. It consists of many displays of past tea cultures, tea processing, tea and tea ware, as well as having live tea arts culture performances.

After the tour, drive back to Xiamen.

Day 5 Xiamen – Wuyishan

Sightseeing and Activities: Gulang Yu Island, Hi Heaven, Shuzhuang Garden, Piano Museum, Xiamen Tea Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd

Gulangyu Island in Xiamen

In the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from hotel and then transfer you to the ferry. Take a 7-minute boat trip to Gulangyu Island and start today’s tour. Gulangyu Island is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site included in 2017, renowned for its beaches, winding lanes and varied architecture.

On the island, we will visit Hi Heaven to enjoy the South Music performance and Puppet Show, which is the largest old villa on the island. Then move on to Shuzhuang Garden and Piano Museum. Gulangyu hosts China’s only piano museum and was given the nickname of “Piano Island” or “The Island of Music”.

In the afternoon, head to visit Xiamen Tea Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd, which is the largest Oolong Tea company in Fujian. After the tour, take a night flight to Wuyishan.

Day 6 Mount. Wuyi

Sightseeing and Activities: Jiuqu Stream rafting, Dahongpao tea trees, Dahongpao Impression Show
Accommodation: Mount. Wuyi
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Today we will take a bamboo raft floating down the Jiuqu (Nine twists) Stream and then hike up to see the Dahongpao tea trees.

In the evening, enjoy the Dahongpao Impression Show directly by Zhang Yimou.

Day 7 Mount. Wuyi

Sightseeing and Activities: Heavenly Peak, Wu Yi Nature Reserve

Today climb up the Tianyou Peak (Heavenly Tour Peak) to have a bird view of the mountain scenic area. In the afternoon, head to Wu Yi Nature Reserve to visit an old tea factory who produces smoky Lapsang Souchong black tea. Learn its making method and also taste different products of the factory.

Day 8 Mount. Wuyi Departure

Sightseeing and Activities: Xiamei Ancient Village, Wuyi Tea Expo Garden

Start today’s tour to Xiamei Ancient Village, one part of the Wuyi World culture heritage. It is a quiet place with well-preserved ancient buildings featuring delicate carvings, also the starting point of Ancient Tea Road.

Then visit Wuyi Tea Expo Garden and be transferred to the airport or train station for your next destination. Service ends.
