Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Welcome to the capital of China – Beijing! Upon arrival, met by tour guide and transferred to you hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Day 2 Beijing

Sightseeing and Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven
Accommodation: Beijing
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Tiananmen Square in Beijing

Breakfast at hotel, start today’s tour with Tiananmen Square. Go north through the square and you will reach the Forbidden City. As the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden structure in the world, it has more than 8,000 pavilions and thousands of historic treasures. Then enjoy the lunch.

In the afternoon, head to visit the royal altar of the Ming and Qing dynasties – the Temple of Heaven.

Day 3 Beijing

Sightseeing and Activities: Great Wall, Ding Tomb of Ming Imperial Tombs, Bird’s Nest, Water Cube

Get up early to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. Great Wall is one of the greatest architecture projects in human history. Then visit Ding Tomb of the Ming Tombs. See the appearance of Bird’s Nest and Water Cube on the way to your hotel at a distance.

Day 4 Beijing – Hohhot

Sightseeing and Activities: Summer Palace

Visit the Summer Palace in the morning, which used to be the summer resort for royal families and emperors. Then transferred to the airport for the flight to Hohhot.

Upon arrival, met by the tour guide and escorted to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore this city.

Day 5 Hohhot – Xilamuren Grassland – Hohhot

Xilamuren Grassland in Hohhot

In the morning, drive about 90km to Xilamuren Grassland. Also known as Zhaohe, Xilamuren means yellow water in Mongolian, which is famous for its cool summer. Appreciate the beautiful scenery of the grassland and try some local favorites such as mutton. Besides, there are many featured activities, such as horseback riding, archery, Mongolian-style-wrestling performances, etc.

After the tour, drive back to Hohhot city.

Day 6 Hohhot Departure

Dazhao Temple in Hohhot

Today we will visit the highlights of Hohhot, including Dazhao Temple, Five-pagoda Temple and Inner Mongolia Museum. Dazhao Temple, the oldest and largest temple in the city, is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Gelugpa order. The Five Pagoda Temple is also a Buddhist temple and known as the “Precious Pagoda of the Buddhist Relics of the Diamond Throne”. Inner Mongolia Museum has many objects relating to ethnic history in its collections.

After the visit, escorted to the airport or train station for your next destination. Service ends.
