Day 1 Xiamen Arrival

Upon your arrival, met by the tour guide and transferred to the hotel. Free for the rest of the day to exlpore this city.

Day 2 Xiamen

Sightseeing and Activities: Gulangyu, Hi Heaven, Shuzhuang Garden, Piano Museum, South Putuo Temple, Eighth Seafood Market

Gulangyu Island in Xiamen

In the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from hotel and then transfer you to the ferry. Take a 20-minute boat trip to Gulangyu Island and start today’s tour. Gulangyu Island is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site included in 2017, renowned for its beaches, winding lanes and varied architecture.

On the island, we will visit Hi Heaven to enjoy the South Music performance and Puppet Show, which is the largest old villa on the island. Then move on to Shuzhuang Garden and Piano Museum. Gulangyu hosts China’s only piano museum and was given the nickname of “Piano Island” or “The Island of Music”. Then transferred back to Xiamen.

After lunch, head to visit South Putuo Temple, a famous Buddhist temple founded in the Tang Dynasty. It is so named because it is south of the Buddhist holy site Mount Putuo in Zhejiang Province. After that, continue today’s tour to the famous fish market – Eighth Seafood Market.

Then transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3 Xiamen – Taxia Village

Sightseeing and Activities: Chuxi Tulou Cluster, Nanxi Tulou Cluster

Today we will continue the tulou tour to Chuxi Tulou Cluster and Nanxi Tulou Cluster. Chuxi Tulou Cluster is a group of earthen structures or “tulou” dating to the Ming Dynasty, embraced by green rolling hills and a winding stream named Peach Blossom Stream. The Nanxi Tulou cluster is the name applied to a section of the Nanxi Valley in Hukeng Town, Yongding County. The Yanxiang Lou, and a round tulou in Xinnan Village in this large cluster figures on the World Heritage List Site.

After the tour, check in hotel in Taxia Village.

Day 4 Taxia Village – Xiamen

Sightseeing and Activities: Tianluokeng Tulou, Yuchanglou, Taxia village

Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster in Nanjing County, Zhangzhou

Morning after breakfast, head to visit Tianluokeng Tulou, Yuchanglou, and Taxia village. Tianluokeng Tulou cluster is one of the better known groups of Fujian Tulou. It consists of a square earth building at the center of a quincunx, surrounded by four round earth buildings. Yuchanglou is the oldest and biggest round earth building, famous for its tilted pillars, which covers an area of 6358 square meters with 5 storeys and 270 rooms. Taxia village is part of the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster with fine environment and the healthy ways of life. People living here are longevous.
