Brief Introduction of Tang Paradise
The Tang Paradise locates at the Qujiang new developed area, covering an area of 1000 mu (about 160 acres), of which 300 mu (about 50 acres) is water. The Tang Paradise is not only the biggest cultural theme park in the northwest, China but also the first royal-garden-like park to show visitors the splendid Tang Dynasty’s culture.
Near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi’an, the Tang Paradise is the first royal-garden-like park to show visitors the splendid culture of the Tang Dynasty, China. With the background of “going into history, experiencing the Tang culture, and experiencing the Tang lifestyle”, it displays the resplendent culture of the Tang flourishing era. Tang Paradise is also the showing location of the famous water screen film in Xi’an. Here, visitors may enjoy the brilliant culture of Tang Dynasty while watching the fantastic water screen movie in their Xi’an tours.
What makes Tang Paradise incredible is that it is no longer the garden mode of only water and mountains in the Chinese traditional sense. Its outstanding designers have integrated almost everything representative of the Tang Dynasty, such as the poetry, the songs and dance, the marketplaces, the food, the women’s lifestyles, and science into every site using cultural themes, thus endowing every place with its own story and its own place in the tapestry of Tang Dynasty culture.
Main Cultural Areas of Tang Paradise
There are 14 culture areas in Tang Paradise: Emperor Culture Area, Women Cultural Area, Poetry Cultural Area, Diet Cultural Area, Imperial Examinations Cultural Area, Tea Cultural Area, Song and Dance Cultural Area, Folk Cultural Area, diplomatic Cultural Area, Buddhist Cultural Area, Taoist Cultural Area, Children’s Entertainment Area, Damen Scenic Cultural Area and Fountain Performance Area, the fourteen landscape cultural areas. The spots in the park are mainly: Ziyun Building, Fengmingjiutian Theater, Fanglin Garden, Caixia Pavilion, Lu Yu Teahouse and so on.

At the surface of the lake in front of the Guanlan Platform of Ziyun Building, there is the world-class large-scale modern water landscape combining water curtain movie, music fountain and laser flame spray. The world’s largest – water curtain movie, 120 meters high 20 meters wide curtain of water to laser-ass isted, highlighting the flow of water on the texture of the water curtain.

Independent Traveler
There are 2 gates opened to tourists. Generally, tourists enter by the West Gate (main gate). The South Gate does not face main streets, so please check it in advance if you plan to enter Tang Paradise by it.
– To the West Gate (Yuyuan Gate) of Tang Paradise: take buses No.21, 22, 23, 24, 44, 212, 224, 237, 526, 609, 715, 720, the all-night No.4, or tourist buses No. 4, 9, then get off at Datang Furongyuan Ximenzhan (大唐芙蓉园西门站, stop of West Gate of Tang Paradise).
– To the South Gate of Tang Paradise: take buses No.21, 22, 23, 24, 212, 237, 307, 601, 609, 715, 720, the all-night No.4, or tourist buses No. 4, 8, then get off at Datang Furongyuan Zhan (大唐芙蓉园站, stop of Tang Paradise).
Useful Travel Tips
- There is no Music Fountain Show from Nov. to Jan., except the spring festival.
- Performances are free in the park except the Dreaming Back to Tang Dynasty; the performance program can receive at the entrance of the park.
