Why is Siberian Tiger Park So Special?

Siberia Tiger Park is the largest natural park for wild Siberian tigers in the world at present. The park was firstly opened on January 23, 1996, in order to preserve this rare and valuable animal, Siberia Tiger. As the natural environment becomes worse, many creatures are endangered and some have died out. The Siberian tiger is considered endangered. Visitors to the park can view a few score Siberian tigers that are on exhibit up close through fences, see other large cats such as Bengal tigers, lions, pumas and several other kinds, ride in vans or small buses into a field where they run and may chase the vehicle or hop on it, and help to feed the animals.

Where is Siberian Tiger Park?

Located on the north bank of Songhua River, the Siberian Tiger Forest Park covers an area of 1.44 million square meters and is adjacent to the Sun Island Scenic Area. The park lies about 15 km from Harbin Railway Station, about 10 km from Sun Island Scenic Area.

Tiger King Area

It’s the territory of the famous “Tiger King” brothers No. 52 and No. 53 Siberian Tiger. Other tigers can’t step further. Once the enemy comes, they will join hands to defend their territory.

Adult Tiger Area

In this area, adult tiger with strong body and abnormal agility can be found. The tigers in this area are all about 7 or 8 years old. 

Exhibition Center

The exhibition center is free to visitors. All kinds of materials about the Siberian tiger are kept in the center, and displayed in the form of specimens and pictures.
