Shanghai Transportation – By Air

It is a 4F civil airport and one of China’s three major gateway hubs. Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, 30 kilometers away from the downtown. Pudong Airport Transportation

Hongqiao International Airport
Hongqiao International Airport is located in Changning District, Shanghai, 13 kilometers from the down. It is a 4E civil international airport. It is one of China’s three major gateway hubs and an international scheduled airport. There are currently two terminals in Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, namely, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Hongqiao Airport Transportation
Hongqiao Airport is relatively close to the downtown. It is only 40 minutes by metro. As an important transportation hub, Hongqiao Airport is directly connected to the high-speed railway station. In general, it can meet various travel needs and is very convenient.
By Metro
Visitors can take Line 2 and Line 10 to get to the downtown, which is the most convenient way to get to the downtown. Metro Line 2 can only take you to the Terminal 2 of Hongqiao airport, while passengers can also take Metro Line 2 to Putong International Airport.
By Airport Bus
People can take No. 806, 807 and 176 to get to the downtown from the Terminal 1 of Hongqiao International Airport. In general, the buses to and from Terminal 1 are fewer than that to and from Terminal 2 of Hongqiao International Airport. People can can take Hongqiao Hub Line 1, Airport Line 1, No. 941, Hongqiao Hub Line 4, Hongqiao Hub Line 9, Minhang Line 18, Line 316 and Night Bus to get to the downtown from the Terminal 2 of Hongqiao International Airport.
By Taxi
It takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour to get to the downtown from Hongqiao International Airport at the price of 50-80 Yuan according to the traffic conditions.
