Why is Laozhaishan Hill So Special?

The mountain is made up of limestone and forms an artesian well at the foot of the mountain on the east side. It is also called “Dajing Mountain” because the water keeps flowing all the year round. The steep road in Laozhai Mountain attracts many photography enthusiasts to climb. The altitude is not high, but there are more than 1,000 steps. Looking from the top of the mountain, Lijiang River turned a corner at the foot of the mountain and cruise ships passed by. Best Time to Travel Laozhaishan Hill

The best travel time is April to October.

How To Get  There

A. Guilin North High-speed Railway to Yangshuo, Yangshuo Station to Xingping Special Line Shuttle (refer to fare 5 yuan), and Xingping Station as the terminal. It takes about 15 minutes by car. After getting off, it takes 5-8 minutes to walk to the riverside, which is Laozhai Mountain.

B. Take the bus to Di Yang and float the bamboo raft to Xingping. There is a full bag on the shopping list.

Useful Travel Tips

  • There is no admission fee for this mountain. As the mountain road is steep, wear and prevent slippery. At ordinary times, there are fewer people going up the mountain, and both sides of the road are full of branches and luxuriant foliage. The girls had better go together and pay attention to mosquito prevention.
  • If you want to watch the sunrise, also because of the deep mountains and forests, you can hardly see the road before daybreak, please bring your flashlight and other lighting equipment.
  • The sunrise and sunset time can be viewed online, and the time can be calculated before going up the mountain, instead of being forced by the cold in the mountain early (for example, the sunrise is usually at 06: 10 in early September, and it starts to light at 05: 10 an hour before sunrise. In addition, the mountain shape here, the sun cannot be seen until it rises to the mountain at about 06: 40 about half an hour later, taking into account the 50-minute climbing time, so climbing at 5: 50 minutes can ensure that the sunrise cannot be missed. )
  • Looking at the sea of clouds, according to local people, it is easy to see it in the morning in a few sunny days after rain. (When the sun is about to shine, the fog begins to rise on the Lijiang River.)
  • The top of the mountain has two main landscapes, one is Xingping and the other is Lijiang River. great bend, which overlooks Lijiang River for nearly 180 degrees, is very spectacular. In the morning, the Lijiang River is smooth, and in the afternoon it is backlit. Those who are particular about photography need to pay attention.
