Yangmaiyong Holy Mountain in Daocheng County, Garze

Yangmaiyong, which translates to “Manjushri Bodhisattva” in Tibetan, is located at the intersection of Muli Tibetan Autonomous County (木里藏族自治县) in Liangshan Prefecture (凉山州) and Daocheng County (稻城县) in Garze Prefecture (甘孜州). It is the southern peak of the “Three Protectors” Snow Mountain, standing at an elevation of 6,033 meters. In Buddhism, it is regarded as the foremost of the Three Protectors. The snow-capped peak resembles Manjushri wielding a wisdom sword pointed toward the sky, and the crystal-clear Yangmaiyong stands majestically between heaven and earth. Surrounded by expansive canyons, lush forests, and gentle streams, this breathtaking natural landscape embodies the spirit of tranquility.
