Naadam Festival, held in every July, is the grandest festival in Inner Mongolia. There are three games of men: Mongolian wrestling, horse racing, and archery. In 2010, Naadam was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO.

Day 1 Hohhot Arrival

Day 2 Hohhot
Sightseeing and Activities: Dazhao Temple, Five-pagoda Temple, Inner Mongolia Museum

Today we will visit the highlights of Hohhot, including Dazhao Temple, Five-pagoda Temple and Inner Mongolia Museum. Dazhao Temple, the oldest and largest temple in the city, is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Gelugpa order. The Five Pagoda Temple is also a Buddhist temple and known as the “Precious Pagoda of the Buddhist Relics of the Diamond Throne”. Inner Mongolia Museum has many objects relating to ethnic history in its collections.
Day 3 Hohhot – Huitengxile Grassland

In the morning, we will drive about 135km to Huitengxile Grassland, a typical alpine meadow grassland. Covering an area of 600 square kilometers and at an average elevation of 2100m, it means “cold plateau” in Mongolian. With 99 natural lakes interspersing the grassland, it is also called the “99 Springs”.
Appreciate the beautiful scenery of the grassland and try some local favorites such as mutton. Besides, there are many featured activities, such as horseback riding, archery, Mongolian-style-wrestling performances, etc.
In the evening, have a bonfire party with the locals.
Day 4 Huitengxile Grassland – Hohhot

Get up early to enjoy the sunrise of the grassland. Then explore this place at leisure until being transferred back to Hohhot to take your flight or train for your next destination. Service ends.
