Shaped like an inverted letter “Y”, the operating route of Suzhou metro line 4 contains a main line (Longdaobang – Tongli) and a branch line (Hongzhuang – Muli). With the length of 53 kilometers (33 miles), the rail transit line 4 runs north to south via 38 stations in total and takes around 70 minutes to finish a single trip. This metro line covers two major transportation hubs, Suzhou Railway Station and Songling Railway Station (under construction). It also passes Xiangcheng New Town, Pingjiang New Town, Taihu New Town and several commercial districts, such as Guanjian Street and Nanmen.
