Meishi Mayflower International Golf Club(海口美视五月花国际高尔夫球会) is a 27-hole, par 108, 10,531 yard golf course, with the total area of 1,000,000 square meters. Thirty-five minutes drive from Haikou Meilan airport, and fifteen minutes drive from downtown Haikou. The course was designed by Mr. Colin Montgomerie and showed his design idea and philosophy thought. The club is the first club on Hainan Island that used the PASPALUM grass, which can maintain the grass green for all year around. Most of the hazards are natural features of the land. The fairways are covered with water-saving pasaplam grass — the first in China to use this type, which keep the course green all year round.

Signature holes are the Par-4 13th and 16th. The former combines the natural features of theland by making full use of the original vegetation; water and bunkers are the main traps. Accuracy and good course management are essential. The 16th hole has an elevated tee with a large pond immediately in front. The fairway of Meishi Mayflower International Golf Club then curves to the left along the shoreline to the green. For the most powerful and confident players, it is possible to put the tee shot onto the green; but, the average player will likely prefer a more cautious approach, with a good shot landing short of the green and then a chip on for safety’s sake.
