Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal
Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal is located at Shun Tak Centre in Sheung Wan with extensive transportation network. It mainly serves ferries between Macau Taipa, Macau Outer Harbour, Shenzhen Shekou Port and Zhuhai Jiuzhou Port. It is easily accessed by bus, minibus and taxi. Also, the Sky Shuttle Helicopter between Hong Kong and Macau also land and take off there.

Hong Kong–China Ferry Terminal
China Ferry Terminal located at China Hong Kong City. This terminal is only a few minutes’ walk from the Star Ferry Terminal, the MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station and Austin Station and also easily accessed by bus, minibus and taxi.

Hong Kong SkyPier
Skypier is a cross-boundary ferry pier integrated within Hong Kong International Airport, Chek Lap Kok, New Territories, Hong Kong. Passengers transiting through Hong Kong International Airport on their way to the Pearl River Delta region via SkyPier ferry services do not need to go through immigration and customs or reclaim baggage. The pier currently provides seven ferry routes to and from individual places in Pearl River Delta.

Ferries from Hong Kong to Nearby Cities
Hong Kong – Macau Ferry
With major terminal in Hong Kong situated in Sheung Wan, there are two ferry operators (TurboJet and Cotai Water Jet) that sail across to Macau everyday. The red ferry is run by TurboJet and the blue ferry is run by Cotai Water Jet. While both the operators run daily ferries and charge a similar price, the best ferry is the one that takes you directly to your dream stop in Macau. From Hong Kong, there are a multitude of routes that you can take for reaching Macau. While there are several routes, the best ferry routes are from the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal to Macau’s Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and Taipa Ferry Terminal as it has the highest departure and arrival frequency, and serves travelers at all hours of the day.
- Ferry Price: The price for the ferry ticket from Hong Kong to Macau is the same for both the adults and the kids, and only varies as per the weekday or weekend, and time of the day. So, if you are booking a ferry from Hong Kong to Macau on your next trip, make sure you have have checked the respective prices and timings.
- Duration: The TurboJet takes around 50 minutes to reach Macau from Hong Kong Ferry Terminal, whereas the Cotai Water Jet takes 60 minutes. While both the ferries run every 15 minutes, i.e. from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, TurboJet also runs special ferries at night, peak hours, and during holidays and festivals.
Hong Kong – Shenzhen Ferry
Ferries run from the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal in the Shun Tak center in Central. The ferry actually arrives at Shekou Terminal. Shekou will be the marked destination. There are around six daily ferry connections between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The first ferry runs at 9:00 AM and the last at 8:30 PM (these times are subject to change).
- Ferry Price: A standard one-way ticket costs HK$105. You can book online with Xunlong Ferries. You can also find contact telephone numbers on the website. In general, although holidays are an exception, you shouldn’t have any problem arriving at the Ferry Terminal’s and picking up a ticket.
- Duration: The ferry takes around fifty minutes.
Hong Kong – Guangzhou Ferry
The ferry to Guangzhou leaves from China Ferry Terminal at China Hong Kong City Tower in Kowloon. There are two ferry terminals in Guangzhou, Lianhuashan and Nansha. The trip is around 100 minutes. After getting off the boat, you need another hour to take bus or taxi to the city center of Guangzhou.
- Ferry Price: Fare for Adults: VIP Class RMB170; First Class RMB150; Economy Class RMB130
- Duration: about 100 minutes.
Hong Kong – Zhuhai Ferry
The easiest way to go between Hong Kong and Zhuhai is take the ferry. There are two terminals to board the ferry in Hong Kong, the HK-Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan, and the China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui. The ferry departs every hour, from Sheuang Wan and from Tsim Sha Tsui alternately.
- Ferry Price: HK$180/RMB170. No need to buy ticket in advance. There will always be seats.
- Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes.
Hong Kong – Zhongshan Ferry
On the Hong Kong end the ferry leaves from China Ferry Terminal. It’s basically a continuation of Harbour City in TST. The TST MTR is about a ten minute walk. Zhongshan ferry terminal, alas, is markedly less convenient, the ferry terminal offers a bus service into town timed to meet the ferry – it’s 15RMB per ticket, or free with a full price ferry ticket, and the service is effective. It also offers a return service to the terminal.
- Ferry Price: Tickets are around three to four hundred dollars return. The ferry is basically a monopoly and the pricing is not cheap.
- Duration:The crossing takes one and a half hours. The gate closes twenty minutes before departure.
