Why is Happy Valley in Shanghai so Special?

Happy Valley Shanghai is an amusement park, opened on 16 August 2009, it is the fourth installation of the Happy Valley theme park chain. The park offers different themed zones and has over 100 attractions and rides for you to enjoy on your day at the park.

Where is Happy Valley in Shanghai? 

The Happy Valley is located in the central area of Shanghai Sheshan National Holiday Resort, Songjiang District, approximately 40 kilometers (25 mi) from downtown Shanghai.

How to Get There?

  • Take bus Songjiang no. 19, Songchong Line or Songzhu Special Line and get off at Happy Valley Station.
  • Take Metro Line 9 to Sheshan Station. Leave from exit 1. Cross the overpass and find the free shuttle bus in orange color to Happy Valley in five minutes.

Happy Valley Shanghai contains seven major areas, each with different themed zones, including Sunshine Beach, Happy Times, Typhoon Bay, Gold Mine Town, Ant Kingdom, Shanghai Beach and Shangri-la Woods. There are more than 100 attractions in the park. Notable rides include Diving Coaster, Coastal Ant, Mega-Lite, Mine Train Coaster, Crazy Elves, Wooden Coaster – Fireball and Family Inverted Coaster.

  • Ticket Price:

CNY 230 for adults and children above 1.5 meters (4.9 feet)
CNY 160 for children between 1.1 and 1.4 meters (3.6 and 4.6 feet).
Free for children under 1.1 meters.
Night ticket: CNY 120; Visitors are allowed to enter after 16:00.

  • Opening Hours (October 12 – November 11, 2019): Monday to Thursday: 09:30 – 21:00; Friday to Sunday and Halloween: 09:30 – 21:30
