Why is the Happy Valley in Beijing so Special?

Happy Valley is an amusement park in Beijing built and operated by Beijing OCT, which is part of the Overseas Chinese Town Company. It is the second park of the Happy Valley theme park chain. The concept design and master plan for the park was created by Creative Kingdom China.

Where is the Happy Valley in Beijing?

Happy Valley is located in the southeast corner of Sifang Bridge, on the fourth ring road, in Chaoyang District, Beijing.

How to Get There

  • Take Bus No. 8, 31, 41, 674, 680 or Zhuan 166, and get off at Huaqiaocheng Station. Walk northwards for 5 minutes to the park.
  • Take Bus No. 31 or 41 to get off at Houfengqiao South Station.
  • Take Subway Line 7 and get off at Happy Valley Scenic Area Station. Leave through exit B or C and walk there in minutes.

Theme Areas

Wild Fjord

It has a fashionable park gate, colorful skywalk, beautiful happy opera and dense forest. Wild Fjord is also a parking place for buses and private cars. From here you can buy a mini-train ticket around the park. Jump up and enjoy the view and range of happy valley.

Aegean Harbor

The Aegean Harbor features an abandoned town destroyed by a volcano, a newly established port and cultural relics. The Olympic Cultural Square in this area evokes the sports image and the spirit of sports competition. You will see classical Greek-style temples, towering pillars and small-town buildings, humorous performances.

Shangri-La

Enjoy the dreamlike Shangri La, an exotic Tibetan town and a quiet tea garden rest area. In the snow flying golden wings, soul-stirring. Looking down from above, you can see “Cobra rolling on earth” and “circular walkway”. The twin tower hero is the only space shuttle with twin towers in Asia. The chair soared 56 meters in two minutes and fell at an amazing speed.

Lost Maya

Here, visitors can experience the lost civilization of the Mayan empire through archaeology, education, agriculture and ecology. The Mayan disaster reflected the ancient flood scene. If you feel brave, look at the Apollo wheel. Its pendulum action can make riders scream, so as to reach the exciting height!

Atlantis

Atlantis is at the heart of the Happy Valley. It shows a picture of ancient civilization sinking into the waves by gods. Giant steel frames, aircraft and transparent balls are the main decorations. The 70-meter high artificial mountain is the highest of its kind in Asia and one of the landmark buildings of the park.

Dessert Kingdom

The Dessert Kingdom is based on the popular Chinese cartoon, Sheriff Biscuit. Characters from the series, including Princess Croissant, feature as mascots. Take a ride on Cake Swing and the curiously named Crazy High Tea.

Performing Arts Activities

Cultural performance is the core experience of Beijing Happy Valley. Beijing Happy Valley has a professional performance team composed of more than 200 Chinese and foreign actors: Acrobatic Troupe, costume troupe, song and dance troupe, style troupe, water performance team from America, European EuroPark band performance team, European and American extreme sports team, European and American style performance team, African black song and dance team and other domestic and foreign performance teams, which will take different forms of artistic performance as tours all the year-round Guests provide nearly 80 performances a day.

    CNY 260 for adults and children above 1.4m;
    CNY 195 for children between 1.1 to 1.4m;
    free for children under 1.1m.

    Night Ticket: CNY 195 for children above 1.1m and adults; free for children under 1.1m.

    CNY 220 for adults and children above 1.4m;
    CNY 165 for children between 1.1 to 1.4m;
    free for children under 1.1m.

    Night Ticket: CNY 165 for children above 1.1m and adults; free for children under 1.1m.

    The ticket fare includes the entrance ticket fee and almost all the entertainment activities and rides. There are still several entertainment items requiring extra pay.
  • Opening Hours (Nov. 22, 2019 – Mar. 15, 2020): 10:00 – 20:30; Night Ticket Hours: 16:00 – 20:30
  • Performance hours: Daily, 5:30–6:30 p.m. and 7:30–8:30 p.m. From November to April there is only 1 show daily at 5:30 p.m.
