Jining has a long history of culture and is one of the important birthplace of eastern civilization. Rulers of remote antiquity traces were left here, like the early ancestor Fuxi. In the Spring and Autumn period, and the Warring States period, the Chinese five saints in history appeared here and first created the Confucian culture which is extremely important for the development of China’s social and history. Later, famous and influential people like Zhu Geliang were born here as well. Owing to its long history and profound cultural deposits, as well as splendid tourist sites like Yishan Mountain, Ni Mountain, Shimen Mountain, Fenxiang Mountain, Liangshan, etc. Li Jining attracts numerous visitors to from home and abroad.
