Zhejiang Transportation

In Zhejiang province, you could take train, high-speed train, plane, interprovincial coach to reach most cities in China. In addition, there is an international airport, where you could take plane to many countries in the world. Here is some major information about Zhejiang transportation systems.

Railway

There are more than 15 railway routes in Zhejiang province now, and more than 15 ones are under building and planning. The largest train station is Hangzhoudong Railway Station, which serves high-speed train, traditonal train, subway, etc. The first city terminal in Zhejiang, Hangzhou international airport city terminal is located here, where you can get your boarding pass and check your luggage in advance. Besides, there are many railway stations in Zhejiang, and almost every city has its own railway station except Zhoushan.

Airport

There are eight airports in Zhejiang province. The largest one is Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport which is a 4F-class civil transport airport, one of China’s 12 main airports, an international scheduled airport, and an alternate airport for international flights.
The other airports are domestic respectively located in Ningbo, Wenzhou, Yiwu, Quzhou, Taizhou and Zhoushan.

Expressway

Eight national highways go through Zhejiang province, and there are about 30 provincal or city-level highways as well. Thus, highway systems in Zhejiang are quite complete and convenient. Each city of Zhejiang has its own coach stations to other cities in China or places around.

Waterway

The coastal cities of Ningbo, Shanghai and Zhoushan islands have several ferry services daily, forming China's busiest maritime passenger transport "golden triangle". Every day, there is still one cruise ship heading towards the Hangzhou - Suzhou, Hangzhou - Wuxi section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
