Yibin Festivals and Events
1. Xingwen Huashan Festival
Huashan Festival, also known as Caishan Festival, is the most featured traditional festival of the Miao people. It is also the "valentine's day" for the young men and women of the Miao people to find a bosom friend. Through the festival, Miao people pray for the flourishing population and good weather.
Huashan Festival of Miao Ethnic Group in Xingwen was approved as a municipal intangible cultural heritage in June 2008. The main activities include the Miao ethnic costumes display, long table banquet, the opening ceremony performance, cultural tourism products, local products exhibition and sales.
2. Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival
Starting from 2018, the autumn equinox has been set up as a "" harvest festival for Chinese farmers" "every year according to the lunar calendar. This festival is a time for hundreds of millions of farmers to celebrate and enjoy the harvest. In order to welcome this special festival for farmers, various activities have been held in Yibin.
3. Pingshan Chaoqing Cultural Tourism Festival
Pingshan county has a tea plantation area of 209,700 mu, which has passed the certification of pollution-free tea base as a whole, and is applying for the national green food base area. It forms the famous tea area with Xiaxi Township as the center, the export green tea area with Longhua Town as the center, the high-quality green tea area with Jinping Town and Dacheng Town as the center and the early spring tea area with Pingshan Town as the center.
The main activities include tea mountain tour, tea art show, Guzheng performance, manual tea making process display, tea picking competition, tea workshop visiting and tasting farm delicacies, etc.
4. Sichuan Nanxi China Cross-Country Championship
From 2014-2018, Nanxi has successfully hosted the China Cross-country Championship. During the festival, riders with superb skills to create speed and passion and present a visual feast for the national audience.
5. Nezha Folk Culture Festival
The influence of Nezha culture in Yibin is widespread, especially in Taiwan and southeast Asia. For thousands of years, the image of Nezha has been loved by people. The purpose of this activity is to promote exchanges between the people of the two sides of the Taiwan straits, enhance the sense of cultural identity and belonging of the two sides , further explore, deepen and carry forward the essence of Nezha's folk culture.
