Basic Information of Macau Education
Macao is the first region in Greater China to provide 15 years of free education. After the implementation of the "Macau Non-Higher Education System Outline Act" in 2006, non-higher education was divided into formal education and continuing education. Formal education includes infant education, primary education, secondary education and special education; continuing education includes family education, return education, community education, vocational training and other educational activities. Vocational and technical education is only established in high school period and can be implemented in formal education and return education at the same time.
