Belfran Building in Heping District, Tianjin
Baifu Building is the first old building I saw in Jinwan Square after visiting the Jiefang Bridge on the Haihe River. Looking at Tianjin in a hundred years, Tianjin is the first commercial port with many colonial buildings. Baifu Building is not high, but it is also magnificent. At first I didn’t think it was an old building, it was too new. But seeing the white protective building sign, I finally had to admit it was an old building.
Baifu Building is located in Jinwan Square on Jiefang North Road, Heping District, Tianjin. It is a beautiful building with excellent historical style in Tianjin. It was designed by French designers in the 1930s and is a building with European architectural style. The Baifu building is not very high, and now after construction, it has become a restaurant.
Built in 1926, Baifu Building is located in Building 93, Dafa Road, the intersection of Dafa Road, the main street of the former Tianjin French Concession, the Baigong River and the Great French River Dam (Today, No. 1 to No. 5, Jiefang North Road, Heping District, Jinshi City, and Zhangzizhong Road). As one of the important buildings retained in the era of Tianjin Concession, the building is currently a key protection class historical and cultural relics protection unit in Tianjin.
I used to live in the Belfran bldg in the Fifties… think 1951 till 1955? very large apartment but no hot water
have visited since then its now an expensive restaurant…
