Every autumn, the mountain is decorated with beautiful red leaves. The common tobacco tree is the main tree species, and the red leaves on the torch tree are like countless torches on the mountain. Here, there are several reasons why autumn is special. There are all kinds of trees in the park, including a large number of mature maples. In addition, the geographical location of the park provides an excellent habitat for these trees.
After the frost in early September, the red leaves will be more charming. Walking in charming Park, you will feel as if you are surrounded by red fog. From a pavilion on the top of the mountain, the red leaves look like countless umbrellas. If you come at sunset, the charming red leaves are in sharp contrast to the afterglow of the setting sun.
Along the hillside, there is a huge stone forest, including the Stone pavilion, Stone Gallery and poem wall. In this land with rich artistic features, people can enjoy more than 1000 works of Chinese leaders, celebrities and famous artists. Among them, Chairman Mao’s inscription is on both sides of the white marble monument in the pavilion which is built in 1993 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Chairman Mao.
There is a memorial hall in the park, which tells the story of more than 200 revolutionary martyrs and collects precious photos and letters from their ancestors. In addition, there are other places of historical significance, such as Shiye Temple in memory of an outstanding heroine in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127).
The park also provides a variety of activities for visitors, such as rock climbing, orienteering and music bars at the top of the mountain. 12 different climbing routes, from simple to difficult, provide enjoyment for people who love this sport.
