Meixian District (梅县区) is part of Meizhou City (梅州市) in Guangdong Province (广东省) and is located in the Central Soviet Area. It lies in the northeastern part of Guangdong Province, upstream of the Han River (韩江), in the central region of Meizhou City. Tourism Development

In 2019, Meixian District was recognized as one of the first all-area tourism demonstration zones in Guangdong Province. The district has consistently ranked among the top ten in overall tourism competitiveness in the province for nine consecutive sessions. The area received a total of 20.68 million visitors, reflecting an 8.2% year-on-year increase; it generated a total tourism revenue of 17.4 billion yuan, up 9.1% from the previous year. Of this, accommodation facilities hosted a total of 14.13 million overnight tourists, marking a 7.3% increase. By the end of the year, there were five star-rated hotels in the district (including one four-star and four three-star hotels), and six A-level scenic spots (including one 5A, three 4A, and two 3A).
