Yanzigou Scenic Resort in Luding County, Garze

Yanzi Trench Scenic Area(燕子沟风景区) is located in the eastern foot of Mount Gongga, southwest of Luding County, Xinxing Township. It is the sister trench of Hailuogou. Glaciers, forests, snow peaks and rare animals and plants flourish in the trench. On the right hand side of the mountain gate, three snow peaks stand out. They are the three main peaks of Mount Gongga – the main Sanhu peaks. The Dinghai Shenzhen is a tall and straight white-skin spruce. According to legend, it is the weapon that the patron saint of Mount Gongga used to subdue the demons. The tree is now dead, but it is covered with a variety of fungi, ganoderma, gemsang and even azaleas and is extremely rare.
