Day 1 Kunming Arrivel

Sightseeing and Activities: Kunming, Green Lake

Upon arrival at Kunming, pike up by the tour guide and drive to hotel to have a short rest and get the luggage settled.

Then head to the Green Lake to stroll along the tree-line road and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere there if time permitted.

Day 2 Kunming – Stone Forest – Shadian

Sightseeing and Activities: the Stone Forest, Shadian
Accommodation: Shadian
Meals: Breakfast, lunch

After breakfast, leave for The Stone Forest which are the World Heritage Site and the “World Geopark” appraised by the UNESCO, to sightsee the oddly-shaped rocks.

Then transfer to Shadian(3 hours drive). Stay overnight there.

Day 3 Shadian-Yuanyang

Sightseeing and Activities: Shadian, Grand Mosque of Shadian, Yuanyang Hani Rice Terraces, Laohuzui Rice Terraces
Accommodation: Yuanyang
Meals: Breakfast, lunch

Get up early to have breakfast, then visit the largest mosque in the southwest and one of the 100 famous mosques of ChinaGrand Mosque of Shadian and pray there, there are four magnificent minarets standing in the four corners of the mosque which attract many tourists, besides, also enjoy it’s marvelous architectural style.

Then drive to Yuanyang Hani Rice Terraces (About 1 hour) to enjoy the sunset of Laohuzui Rice Terraces.

Day 4 Yuanyang

Sightseeing and Activities: Yuanyang Hani Rice Terraces, Duoyishu Rice Terrace, Laohuzui (Tiger Mouth) Rice Terrace, Mushroom-shaped Houses, Bada Rice Terraces

Bada Rice Terraces in Yuanyang County Honghe

Getting up very early to view and photograph the splendid sunrise of Duoyishu Rice Terrace, which is the most beautiful natural and cultural landscape of Yuanyang Terrace, and this place will give you a superlative dynamic landscape.

After lunch, move on to Laohuzui (Tiger Mouth) Rice Terrace, the colorific hierarchy of this place is the most intense in Yuanyang. The lowest section of the terrace is the most attractive site and the outline resembles a galloping horse.

Proceed to visit Mushroom-shaped Houses, the residence of Hani inhabitants. This place demonstrates extraordinary harmony between people and their environment as well as Hani people’s wisdom and ethnic customs.

Today’s tour ends at Bada Rice Terraces where can enjoy the sea of clouds and sunset if weather allows.

Day 5 Yuanyang – Jianshui

Sightseeing and Activities: Confucian Temple, The Private Garden of the Zhu Family, The Chaoyang Gateway Arch
Accommodation: Jianshui
Meals: Breakfast, lunch

After breakfast at Yuanyang, drive to the “Museum of Ancient Buildings and Residential Houses” – Jianshui, which is a charming historical and cultural town. We will visit some old buildings of historic value and places of interest, especially the Confucian temple, which is built in the Yuan Dynasty(128 AD) and is the best large-scale Confucius Temples in south China.

After lunch head to the Private Garden of the Zhu Family which was built by Zhu brothers in the late Qing Dynasty, and it’s also a hot place for filmmaker, many movies were once filmed there.

Later go to visit The Chaoyang Gateway Arch, which was built in 1389 AD, and it was the symbol of this ancient military town in the southeast border of Jianshui.

Stay one night here to enjoy the atmosphere of an ancient Chinese town.

Day 6 Jianshui – Kunming

Back to Kunming from Jianshui after breakfast and enjoy the spare time at Kunming until transfer to airport or station for the next destination. services ends.
