For the more adventurous, challenge yourself to reach the highest South Peak(南峰), which rewards you with 360 – degree views of the surrounding mountains.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Xi’an
- Morning: Land at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport. A professional guide will be waiting for you at the arrival hall and transfer you to your hotel. Options like the luxurious Grand Park Xi’an Hotel or the elegant Xi’an Shangri – La Hotel are Muslim – friendly, offering halal dining options and dedicated prayer facilities.
- Noon: Check – in, freshen up, and enjoy a sumptuous halal lunch at the hotel restaurant. The menu features a diverse range of local and international dishes prepared according to halal standards.
- Night: Head out to the vibrant Muslim Quarter(回民街). Start your exploration at the Great Mosque of Xi’an(西安大清真寺), which was built during the Tang Dynasty. Wander through the market streets, stopping to sample a plethora of halal street snacks. Try lamb – filled baozi, sweet – and – savory pastries, and of course, the iconic biangbiang noodles. Afterward, return to the hotel for a good night’s rest.
Day 2: Xi’an City Tour
- Morning: Have a halal breakfast at the hotel. Then, depart for the Terracotta Army Museum(兵马俑博物馆), which is about an hour’s drive from the city center. Once there, start your guided tour. First, visit Pit 1, where the largest number of terracotta warriors are on display. Then move on to Pit 2 and Pit 3. Listen attentively as your guide explains the history, production process, and military significance of the terracotta army.
- Noon: Have lunch at a nearby halal restaurant. Indulge in Shaanxi – style dishes such as yangrou paomo (lamb soup with bread) and stir – fried noodles with fresh vegetables and tender meat.
- Night: Drive back to the city and head to the Xi’an City Wall(西安城墙). Rent a bicycle and spend about two hours cycling along the 14 – kilometer – long wall. Take in the views of the city below, with ancient architecture and modern cityscape merging before your eyes. After that, proceed to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda(大雁塔). Explore the temple complex around the pagoda, visit the Buddhist scriptures hall, and learn about the pagoda’s role in the spread of Buddhism in China. Enjoy the evening fountain show in front of the pagoda, a spectacular display of lights, music, and water. Then, have dinner at a local halal restaurant near the pagoda and return to the hotel.
Day 3: Xi’an to Mount Huashan
- Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel. Then, take an early – morning train or private vehicle to Mount Huashan. The journey takes about 1.5 – 2 hours. Upon arrival at the foot of the mountain, check into a Muslim – friendly hotel at the mountain base.
- Noon: Have a light halal lunch at the hotel restaurant. After that, take a short rest to prepare for the mountain hike.
- Night: Take the Huashan cable car to the North Peak(北峰). Enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains during the cable – car ride. Then, hike from the North Peak to the East Peak(东峰). Along the way, stop at scenic spots like the Cloud Terrace(云台峰), which is famous for its steep cliffs and stunning views. The hike is relatively easy, with well – maintained paths and handrails. Explore the East Peak, take in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy the magnificent scenery. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can continue the hike to the South Peak(南峰). The path to the South Peak is more challenging, with some steep sections and narrow walkways, but the views from the top are truly rewarding. Return to the North Peak or the mountain base. If you’re at the North Peak, take the cable car down. Have dinner at a halal eatery at the mountain base, enjoying simple but delicious mountain – style dishes like stir – fried wild vegetables and grilled lamb chops. Then, return to the hotel and rest for the night.
Day 4: Mount Huashan Hike and Return to Xi’an
- Morning: If you’re an early riser, head to the North Peak or East Peak to watch the sunrise. The view of the sun rising over the mountains is truly spectacular. Have a simple breakfast at a snack stand on the mountain or at the hotel if you’ve returned. Then, take a leisurely hike around the mountain, exploring any areas you missed the previous day or simply enjoying the scenery.
- Noon: Take the cable car down to the mountain base and drive back to Xi’an. Once in Xi’an, have lunch at a halal restaurant.
- Night: Spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel or visit any missed attractions in the city. You can also choose to revisit the Muslim Quarter(回民街)for shopping. Browse for traditional handicrafts, spices, and Islamic – themed souvenirs. Have dinner at a local halal restaurant, trying different local Muslim – influenced dishes. Return to the hotel and pack your bags for the next day’s activities.
Day 5: Xi’an’s Historical and Cultural Sites
- Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel. Start your day at the Great Mosque of Xi’an(西安大清真寺)again. This time, take a more in – depth look at the mosque’s architecture, study the Islamic calligraphy on the walls, and learn about the daily life of the local Muslim community. Then, visit either the Xi’an Museum or the Shaanxi History Museum to gain deeper insights into the region’s rich history, especially its role in the Silk Road and East – West cultural exchanges.
- Noon: Have lunch at a nearby halal restaurant. Savor a variety of local and regional specialties, each with its own unique flavor and story.
- Night: Head to Huaqing Palace(华清宫), located at the foot of the Lishan Mountain. Explore the imperial palaces, the hot – spring pools, and the historical sites associated with famous events in Chinese history. After a short break, explore Tang Paradise(大唐芙蓉园), a large cultural theme park. Watch the evening shows, which feature traditional Tang – Dynasty music, dance, and acrobatics. Have dinner at Mian Xian Hui, a popular halal restaurant, enjoying their specialty hand – pulled noodles and other local dishes. Then, return to the hotel.
Day 6: Free Day and Departure
- Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel and then spend the morning at your leisure. You can choose to visit the Forest of Steles(碑林), a museum that houses a large collection of ancient stone tablets inscribed with Chinese calligraphy, historical records, and Buddhist scriptures. Or, you can do some last – minute shopping for souvenirs. Look for local handicrafts, silk products, and calligraphy works at the markets near the hotel or in the city center.
- Noon: Have lunch at a halal restaurant. Enjoy a final meal in Xi’an, savoring the flavors one last time.
- Night: Check out of the hotel. If your flight departs in the afternoon or evening, our driver will transfer you to the airport with plenty of time for security checks and boarding procedures. End your journey with cherished memories of Xi’an’s historical wonders and Mount Huashan’s natural beauty.
