Detailed Itinerary
In the morning, be picked up by tour guide and transferred to visit the Dongzhulin Monastery which is located in Shusong Village, Benzilan District, Deqin County, and 105km from the seat of Zhongdian County. The monastery is constructed on the low slope of Baimang Snow Mountain is about 3,000 meters above the sea level. This is a magnificent complex spread around looks like a small town ship when looked from far distance.
Continue the tour to Baimang Snow Mountain Nature Reserve, you will be able to view Baimang Snow Mountain if the weather is clear. There are well preserved frigid-zone primeval forests of alpine coniferous trees. Most forests are untouched. This area is also the main habitat of Yunnan golden monkeys, a rare animal under national top-class protection.
After lunch, move on to visit the Nixi Pottery Village which is well known for the century-old art, making pottery. Around 70 out of the 100 families in the village are engaged in this traditional art. Many of them have built pottery workshops. It’s amazing to watch the locals processing the item. The item is purely hand-made which makes it unique and precious. The raw material clay, is taken from a mountain three kilometres away.
After that, be transferred back to your hotel and service ends.
