In this fast-paced world, we are always looking for a peaceful haven to relax our minds, and Wangxian Valley (望仙谷) is the place I found. 🌿
Tour Route Options
There are two route options: clockwise and counterclockwise. The clockwise route begins by turning right after entering, heading towards the San Kou Waterfall (三口瀑). The counterclockwise route goes left towards the Cliffside Cottage (崖边小屋). The clockwise route is recommended, as you can enjoy the view of the cottages on the opposite cliff, which is absolutely beautiful (see image two and three).
Ticket Information
The ticket price is 100 CNY per person. If there are more than six people from the same region, you can contact a travel agency a day in advance to get a 10 CNY discount. The discounted ticket is 60 CNY, applicable to seniors over 65 years old, university students, and others. Be sure to buy tickets at the ticket counter.
Must-Visit Photo Spots
1⃣ Bai He Bridge (百鹤桥): A perfect spot to capture the ethereal beauty of the valley (see image four). 2⃣ Outside the Visitor Center, don’t forget to take a panoramic photo of Wangxian Valley (see image one). (After the lights turn on in the evening, spotlights will begin a few minutes later. Be sure to take photos before the lights turn on, or the photo effects might not be good—see image eight.)
Recommended Visit Time
It is recommended to enter the scenic area around 3:00 PM. Be sure to check the sunset time for the day. We initially thought that the best time for photos was between 5:00 and 6:00 PM, like in Guangdong, but the sunset in Jiangxi is earlier, and the best time to capture photos is from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Since Wangxian Valley is not very large, you can spend a leisurely time wandering around from 3:00 PM and enjoy the night view after the lights are on.
