Haitang Bay (simplified Chinese: 海棠湾; traditional Chinese: 海棠灣; pinyin: Hǎitáng Wān) is one of the five major bays in Sanya, Hainan Province, China. This 42.8 km beach is located in Haitangwan Town, Sanya, and Yingzhou Town, Lingshui. To its south are Yalong Bay and Wuzhizhou Island.

Haitang Bay (simplified Chinese: 海棠湾; traditional Chinese: 海棠灣; pinyin: Hǎitáng Wān) is one of the five major bays in Sanya, Hainan Province, China. This 42.8 km beach is located in Haitangwan Town, Sanya, and Yingzhou Town, Lingshui. To its south are Yalong Bay and Wuzhizhou Island.

How to Get to Haitang Bay

  • From downtown to Haitangwan, you can take No. 28 bus. From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fare is 11 yuan.
  • You can also take bus No.23, the bus terminal – Linwang Town, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the fare is 8 yuan. Transfer to the local characteristic tug car in Linwang Town, and 10 yuan to the seaside at the entrance of Wuzhizhou Island Scenic spot.
  • The taxi price is more expensive. Generally, it’s 150 yuan from downtown to Haitang Bay. Basically, there’s no table. The price is subject to the call price. It’s more expensive to come from the airport. The price is about 200 yuan.

Featuring 448 inspiring guestrooms, suites and villas amidst 12,000 square meters of tropical waterscapes which looks like a land of water in heaven. The resort includes swimming pools, jacuzzis and fire-torched waterscapes that vary in different size and shape.

There is tenghai fishing village near the scenic spot, and some inns, lodgings and hostels are built, including the only International Youth Hostel (YHA) – Sunny cottage. The accommodation price is relatively cheap, between 50-200 yuan, the conditions are clean and tidy, close to the sea.
