Overview
Guanjiawu Hui Ethnic Township is located in the northern part of Yongqing County (永清县), Langfang City (廊坊市), Hebei Province (河北省). It borders Gu’an County (固安县) to the west and shares boundaries with Anci District (安次区), Guangyang District (广阳区), and Daxing District (大兴区) of Beijing to the north. The total area is 29.47 square kilometers, and as of 2018, the registered population was 12,873.
History
In 1958, the area was part of the Caojiawu Hongfeng Commune. In September 1959, it was included in the Biegu Village Dongfeng Commune. In August 1961, it was transferred to the Sengfatou Commune. On April 5, 1982, it was renamed Guanjiawu Commune, and on April 17, it became Guanjiawu Township. In April 1984, it was designated as Guanjiawu Hui Ethnic Township. As of June 2020, Guanjiawu Hui Ethnic Township administers 12 administrative villages.
In 2018, Guanjiawu Hui Ethnic Township had 23 industrial enterprises, including one large-scale enterprise and 22 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area exceeding 50 square meters.
Historical Development

Guanjiawu Hui Ethnic Township is situated in the northern part of Yongqing County, adjacent to Gu’an County to the west and bordering Anci District, Guangyang District, and Daxing District of Beijing to the north. The total area is 29.47 square kilometers.
Topography
The terrain of Guanjiawu Hui Ethnic Township is slightly higher in the west and lower in the east.
Climate
The average annual sunshine duration is approximately 3,600 hours. The maximum annual rainfall recorded was 650 millimeters, while the minimum was 200 millimeters.
Hydrology
The township is part of the Yongding River (永定河) water system, with a total river length of 15 kilometers.
Natural Disasters
Common natural disasters in the area include hail, windstorms, frost, and lightning strikes. The most severe windstorm occurred on June 6, 2012.
Population
By the end of 2011, the total population of Guanjiawu Hui Ethnic Township was 11,585, with an urban population of 708, resulting in an urbanization rate of 6.1%. The floating population numbered 2,369. Among the total population, 5,702 were male (49.22%) and 5,883 were female (50.78%). The majority ethnic group is Han Chinese, with 8,885 individuals (76.7%), while Hui people account for 2,700 (23.3%). In 2011, the birth rate was 10.79‰, the death rate was 4.82‰, and the natural growth rate was 5.97%. By 2018, the registered population had increased to 12,873.
