Global festival on intangible cultural heritage to be held in Chengdu

The seventh International Festival of Intangible Cultural Heritage will be held in Chengdu, in Sichuan province, from Oct 17 to 22, the organizers said at a media event in Beijing recently.

Participants from over 100 countries will take part in various activities at the festival including forums, demonstrations of intangible cultural heritage and exhibitions. Also, during the festival, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will promote travel routes to explore the intangible cultural heritages within the country.

Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, will also launch 10 routes and 40 destinations for visitors to experience intangible cultural heritage.
