Puer has a long history before 109 BC. It is located in the southwest of Yunnan Province. It is adjacent to Honghe and Yuxi in the east, Xishuangbanna in the south, Dali and Chuxiong in the north. It is bordered by Vietnam and Laos in the southeast and Myanmar in the southwest. Puer is famous for Puer Tea. What’s more, there are many attractions, which are worthy of your time, such as Ancient Tea-Horse Road.

- Long History: Before 109 BC, the present Puer was the southern boundary of the Ancient Dai Country “Mengdaguang(勐达光)”(Ailao Country in Chinese).
- Multi-ethnic Settlement: There are 9 ethnic minority autonomous counties in Pu’er City, which are home to 14 inhabitants such as Han, Hani, Yi, Lahu, Wa and Dai. The minority population accounts for 61% of the total population in Puer.
