The main inhabitant is Naxi people who live spread over the valley. Festivals in Tiger Leaping Gorge include Bangbanghui Festival(Trade Fair) on lunar January 15th, exchanging the products, dancing and singing; Sanduo(God) Festival is yearly celebrated on February 12th and the main activities are temple fairs, dancing performance, going hiking and having a picnic as well as exchanging local goods.
