Dujiangyan Culture

Located in the northwest of Chengdu plain in Sichuan province, Dujiangyan city is a typical minority area with 32 ethnic groups, mainly Tibetans, Qiang and Hui. Due to close to Aba Tibetan Area region, about 70,000 ethnic people have a short stay at the city each year. Among them, there are more than 100 enterprises and institutions of Aba prefecture. Since the "5.12" earthquake in 2008, many ethnic minorities settled down at the city.

In recent years, closely around the theme of accelerating the progress of ethnic unity and maintaining social harmony and stability, Dujiangyan government set up three harmonious community of national unity and progress, two homes of national culture, and one ethnic social work service center. A series of lectures about national culture knowledge and community activities were carried out to provide feasible services to ethnic groups and to promote social harmony and stable development.
