5.Language
Most people in Baoshan are Yi, Dai, Bai. They have their own languages, which are quiet different from Chinese. Most of them can speak good Chinese but hardly English.
6. How to Get to Baoshan
Baoshan can be accessible by air and long-distance bus. Baoshan Yunrui Airport has flights flying to and from Kunming, Chengdu, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Changsha, Xian, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Beijing, Guiyang, etc.
There are two Passenger Transport Bus Stations in Baoshan, which are the South Passenger Transport Bus Station and the North Passenger Transport Bus Station. Tourists can take bus to Baoshan from Gongshan, Ruili, Tengchong, Lijiang, Kunming, etc.
7.Best Time to Visit Baoshan
It is suitable for traveling Baoshan all the year round. In every March and May, Baoshan is covered with spring flowers, green flowers and beautiful scenery. From August to December, the autumn in Baoshan comes with cool weather, which is very suitable for travelling. Especially from mid-November to early December, it is the best choice to visit ginkgo village in Tengchong.

Spring (March through May)
Humidity and temperatures combine to make this season feel warm. Highs range from 81.9°F (27.7°C) and 70.9°F (21.6°C) with warmer temperatures in the later months. Rain is somewhat common with 2 to 5 days of significant precipitation per month. Spring is the busiest for tourism, which makes it a good time for those looking for things to do.
Summer (June through August)
The middle-year months have very comfortable weather with high temperatures that are comfortable. These months see the most precipitation with 9 to 14 days of precipitation per month. June – August is the second busiest season for tourism in Baoshan, so lodging and other accommodations may cost slightly more.
Fall (September through November)
Fall daily highs range from 79.4°F (26.3°C) and 66.9°F (19.4°C), which will feel very nice given the humidity and wind. It rains or snows a significant amount: 2 to 10 days per month. Tourism is the slowest during these months due to the weather, so hotels may be affordably priced.
Winter (December through February)
Weather is too cold this time of year in Baoshan to be enjoyable for warm weather travelers. The average high during this season is between 70.9°F (21.6°C) and 62.5°F (16.9°C). On average, it rains or snows a smalll amount: 1 to 2 times per month. These times of year are fairly slow with tourists.
9. What to Visit
Baoshan is a significant post of the famous Southwest Silk Road. Travel along the Yunnan-Burma highway and explore every historic site of Southwest Silk Road. The main attractions in Baoshan include Tengchong Hot Sea, Tengchong Volcano Park, Longjiang Bridge, Dieshuihe Waterfall, Heshun Township, Wofo Temple, etc.
