Daxing Hui Ethnic Town in Yanting County, Mianyang
Daxing Hui Ethnic Township绵阳市盐亭县大兴回族乡 is located in Yanting County (盐亭县), Mianyang City (绵阳市), Sichuan Province (四川省). It was named after its central settlement, Daxingchang (大兴场). The township covers an area of 23.85 square kilometers and had a population of 4,832 in 2017. It is situated 6 kilometers from the county seat and is intersected by the provincial road Chengdu-Nanjiang Highway (成南公路).
Historical Background
- 1951: Daxing Township was established.
- 1958: It was converted into a commune.
- 1986: Daxing Hui Ethnic Township was officially established.
- 2019: On December 25, the Sichuan Provincial Government approved the administrative adjustment of Yanting County. Linshan Township (林山乡) was abolished, and its administrative areas, including Jianzi Village (尖子村) from Fenghe Township (冯河乡), were incorporated into Daxing Hui Ethnic Township. The township government relocated from Daxingchang to Qinglong Street No. 63 (青龙街63号), which was the former location of Linshan Township’s government.
