Day 1 Arrival in Lijiang

After arriving in Lijiang, head to the pre – booked inn to complete the check – in process. Take a short rest and then wander around the ancient town of Lijiang at a leisurely pace. Let yourself be charmed by its quaint atmosphere while appreciating the well – preserved ancient architecture, crossing the small bridges over the flowing streams, and tasting local delicacies such as cured pork ribs and chicken bean jelly.

Day 2 Lijiang – Feilai Temple

At the begining of the day, commence a picturesque journey from Lijiang and set out on a scenic drive towards Feilai Temple. Along the route, make a stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge. Station yourself on the viewing platforms and behold as the roaring Jinsha River, which is also a part of the Yangtze River, surges through the narrow gorge with great force. Truly experience the untamed power of nature. Once you arrive at Feilai Temple, proceed to check into the hotel. In the event that the weather is clear and free of clouds, you will be treated to the breathtaking spectacle of sunlight casting its glow on the lofty peaks of Meili Snow Mountain, thereby creating a magnificent golden radiance.

Day 3: Feilai Temple – Xidang – Yubeng Village

Set off from Feilai Temple and head to Xidang. From there, transfer to an off-road vehicle for the journey into Yubeng Village. Nestled at the foot of the Goddess Peak of Meili Snow Mountain, Yubeng Village is surrounded by mountains on all sides. The moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by its idyllic scenery, with lush forests, clear streams, and traditional Tibetan houses. Spend the rest of the day acclimatizing to the high altitude in preparation for the upcoming hikes.

Day 4: Yubeng Village – Ice Lake

Today is entirely dedicated to the much – anticipated hike to Ice Lake. As you lace up your hiking boots and set foot on the winding mountain path, an immediate sense of tranquility and adventure washes over you. The stretch leads you through a thick, ancient forest.The path, a well – trodden dirt trail, is lined on either side by clear, gurgling streams. The water, crystal – clear and cold, rushes over smooth rocks, and the sound of flowing water becomes a constant, soothing companion throughout the journey.
Ice Lake, your final destination, is a hidden gem nestled at the very base of the majestic snow – capped mountains. Surrounded by towering,snow peaks that seem to touch the sky, the lake is a sight straight out of a dream.
The round – trip hike is approximately 12 – 15 kilometers, a distance that might seem daunting at first but is made manageable by the breathtaking scenery along the way. It is expected to take 7 – 9 hours, depending on your pace and how many stops you make. Day 5 Yubeng Village – scared Waterfall

Embark on a captivating hike to Shenpu Waterfall, a journey that unfolds like a vivid and enchanting scroll of nature. As you set off, the trail gradually reveals a rich tapestry of diverse natural landscapes. Towering snow – covered mountains stand majestically in the distance, their peaks glistening under the sunlight, creating a breathtaking sight that seems almost surreal. The deep forests you traverse are filled with the sounds of chirping birds and the gentle rustling of leaves in the wind. The thick canopy of trees filters the sunlight, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor, making it a magical and serene place. Along the way, you’ll encounter dramatic gorges with their steep cliffs and roaring streams at the bottom, showcasing the raw power and beauty of nature.
What’s more, there is a strong and palpable religious and cultural atmosphere pervading the entire area. According to the long – standing local legends, this waterfall holds a special spiritual significance. It is believed that walking clockwise around the waterfall three times can purify one’s soul, washing away all the impurities and troubles of the mundane world. This age – old belief has been passed down through generations, adding a mysterious and sacred touch to the place.
The entire hike is about 10 – 12 kilometers long, meandering through these remarkable terrains. The terrain is a mix of gentle slopes and a few challenging sections, which makes the journey both exciting and rewarding. Usually, it takes 6 – 8 hours to complete, allowing you ample time to soak in the scenery and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. Along the path, you’ll pass by numerous prayer flags fluttering gracefully in the wind. These colorful flags, inscribed with sacred mantras, are a symbol of the local people’s faith. Their gentle flapping in the breeze seems to be carrying prayers to the heavens, adding to the spiritual charm of this already magical place.

Day 6: Yubeng Village – Ninong – Haba Village

Leave Yubeng Village via Ninong Grand Canyon. The canyon is characterized by its steep cliffs and magnificent rock formations. After exiting the canyon, board a vehicle and head to Haba Village. Upon arrival, have a detailed discussion with the local guides about the upcoming Haba Snow Mountain climbing expedition. Then to the base camp. First, follow the marked trail through the forest, which gradually ascends. Along the way, you’ll pass by clear streams and see various alpine plants. After about 3 – 4 hours of hiking, you’ll reach the base camp. Guide will check and ensure all your climbing gear is in good condition.Then, get a good night’s sleep to recharge your energy for the challenging climb ahead.

Day 7 Start climbing at dawn to welcome the morning light

Dawn breaks in the stillness of the early hours, at 2 am, when you embark on the arduous yet rewarding journey to the summit of Haba Snow Mountain. Each step leads you across snow – clad terrains, under a canopy of twinkling stars that seem within reach. The ascent unfolds like a dream, with snow – capped peaks standing in silent grandeur, ancient glaciers carving their frozen stories, and frozen waterfalls suspended in time, creating a landscape straight out of a fairy tale.
As you finally reach the summit, at an elevation of [5396] meters, a breathtaking panorama unfolds before your eyes. Mountains upon mountains stretch to the horizon, a vast expanse of nature’s masterpiece. The feeling of accomplishment that washes over you is beyond words, a moment of pure, unadulterated joy.
After lingering a while, letting the beauty seep into your soul and capturing the moment through your lens, it’s time to begin the descent back to Haba Village. The round – trip, a distance of about 10 – 12 kilometers, is a journey of both physical endurance and spiritual discovery. With rest stops along the way, the entire adventure, from the first step to the last, will take approximately 10 – 12 hours.After back to Haba you can have a good rest or keep going to Lijiang city to rest.

Day 8: Haba Village – Lijiang

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, embark on a comfortable journey back to Lijiang. Once you arrive in Lijiang, you have the opportunity to explore the city according to your own schedule and preferences. You can visit the local markets where you can find an array of unique souvenirs. Among these souvenirs are traditional handicrafts that showcase the skill and artistry of the local artisans. There are also ethnic-style clothing items that are rich in cultural significance and can be a great addition to your wardrobe. Additionally, you can sample various local snacks that offer a taste of the local cuisine. And then, our guide and driver will transport you to the airport. This moment marks the end of an unforgettable journey that has been filled with adventure, awe-inspiring natural beauty, and a deep exploration of the local culture.
