Liupanshui Attractions
Liupanshui, a typical karst landform, is located in the western part of Guizhou province, on the sloping area of Yunnan-Guizhou plateau. Liupanshui is rich in tourism resources, within the territory, waterfalls, karst caves, forests, canyons, lakes, hot springs can be found everywhere, is a veritable mountainous park. Here are numerous scenic spots, natural and cultural landscape, including Yushe national forest park, Yushe ski field, Wumeng Mountain national geopark, Minghu lake wetland park, Jiucaiping scenic area, Francois's Leaf Monkey nature reserve, Suoga Longhorn Miao Scenic Area, Dadong ancient human site(大洞古人类遗址), Panxian meeting site and Xinmin Palaeontological fossil group site, etc. Covering an area of more than 380 square kilometers, wumeng mountain national geopark mainly includes Beipanjiang canyon and Biyundong karst cave group(碧云洞溶洞群), as well as five characteristic scenic spots, such as Jiucaiping(韭菜坪), Jinpeng natural bridge, aare river(阿勒河), Panxian Triassic period Palaeontology fossil community and Panxian Dadong ancient human site. In the meantime, there are also Beipanjiang river, Zangke river, Azhi river, moon river and other mountain wetlands. Because of its beautiful scenery and pleasant climate, Liupanshui has been listed as one of the top ten summer resort cities in China for many times.
