Leshan Climate
Leshan has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate and is largely mild and humid. Winter is short, mild and dry, with a January average of 7.2 °C (45.0 °F), and while frost may occur, snow is rare. Summers are long, hot and humid, with highs often exceeding 30 °C (86 °F), yet extended heat waves are rare. The daily average in July and August is around 26 °C (79 °F). Rainfall is light in winter and can be heavy in summer, and more than 70% of the annual total occurs from June to September.

Spring
The spring average temperature in Leshan is 10 ℃ ~ 17 ℃. The average temperature is 17 ℃ at daytime and 10 ℃ at night. It is suggested to wear suits, lined clothes, windbreaker, casual wear, jackets, suits, thin sweater to keep warm. In April, tourists can see the blossom carpet covering the mountain. It is the best time to see one of the famous Mt. Emei scenes – Sea of Clouds. At Jiayang, there is a small steaming train running. Summer
Summer is the season of rain. Rainfall in summer constitutes around 80% of the city’s annual rainfall. During this time, the climate is humid and hot. The nearby Mount Emei is a best place for you to escape from the summer heat.
Autumn
The average temperature of autumn in Leshan is between 19-26 ℃. The weather is similar to spring but with more rains and more fog days than spring.
Winter
Winter is the low season of Leshan travel. However, you can enjoy much more discount from hotels and air tickets during this season.
