Ethnic villages in China are a basic administrative district designated for minority ethnic groups, which are designated by the government within geographical regions where minority groups live. In order to better promote the protection and development of ethnic minority villages, China has named some featured ethnic villages as below.

Since 2009, protection work of ethnic village extensively developed, and it has produced a large number of featured residences, with rich national culture and beautiful living environment. China published three batches of featured ethnic villages with Chinese characteristics in September 2014, April 2017 and September 2018 respectively.
